A couple of notes:
Horst Caspari has requested that I send out another copy of the CSU grower's survey to everyone.  He is still accepting the surveys, and due to a poor response rate and incomplete responses, he is concerned that he may not be able to publish any average grape prices this year.  He also reports that the acreage reported so far for 2001 is 40 acres less than 2000's total.  If you can't remember if you have already responded, or if you did not completely fill out the form, he will cross-check and combine your responses.  Note that he wants your response regardless of crop size.  He keeps all responses in strictest confidence. The form is attached below.

     The February 7th Brown Bag Lunch, hosted by Rogers Mesa Research Center, will be held at the Apple Shed in Cedaredge.  Dr. Ron Godin will give a presentation on "Tuning Up Your Soils For This Season".  Topics will include soil sampling, nutrient requirements for tree fruits and wine grapes, and how to get the most for your fertilizer dollar.  Lunch may be purchased at the Loading Dock Deli prior to the program which will start at 12:30 pm and last approximately one hour with time for questions and answers afterward.  Inquiries should be directed to 872-3387 ext.3.
